36 Weeks and a Beach Day!

Sorry for the interruption of the regularly scheduled blog, but we ended up deciding to have a beach day. We had originally planned to wait until the girls were 10 months old to take them to the beach, but the 104 degree forecast inspired us to head down there a bit sooner.

Here are this morning's pre-beach photos, and some pictures from our beach adventure.

The girls were awesome at the beach! We stayed a pretty long time (about 9:00 - 1:00!) and they were totally cool. They each took a short nap and ate well. Alex was fussy but nothing unusual for her lately with her teething. (It looks like both bottoms are coming in at once poor thing). Alex really liked when I walked into the waves with her and dunked her feet in the water. Josie wasn't as keen on the water. Neither of them minded the sand and several times put sandy hands or pacifiers in their mouths and didn't complain (grossed me out a bit but whatever, its a right of passage, no?) We got home and took baths and the girls are now having a good nap while we crank the Air Conditioning.
