We went for our first non-stress test today. Pebbles and Bam-Bam passed with flying colors. The idea here is that the nurse wants each baby to move twice within a period of time where each movement causes a bit of a rise in the heart rate. The nurse gave me some cold orange juice and clearly the babies loved that, because they went nuts, moved around like crazy, and we were done the test in record time.
They also checked fluids and the membrane separating them, all of that was good too. And we managed to get through another ultrasound without finding out the genders.
For anyone trying to predict genders: both babies' heart rates were perfectly within normal range, but one was in the 120s and one was in the 150s. I'm not sure what that tells anyone, but thought I would provide the information.
Going back on Monday for another non-stress test, and twice a week until they get here.
